Holiday Eyes Release!

A Late Holiday Release

This year I had the forethought to start on some Christmas Eyes back before Halloween. Come Halloween Day, I had textures ready and product images done! I just needed to pack them into appliers, box the appliers and I could have them ready for Black Friday! Right? RIGHT?!

Oh well. Better late then never…

And it’s not an Omega Eye Release without a quick freebie right? Needs to be something Festive.. and silly and fun..

Tado! Christmas Trees in the Eyes!

Regularly priced 99L, come visit me here:  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Omega%20Solutions/228/104/24
before the end of 12/24 to get it FREE with any of your Omega groups!

Just like last time, I put 3 different discounted vendors out!
If you’re in Omega Support, have your tag active and use the bottom left vendor!
If you’re in Omega News, have your tag active and use the bottom middle vendor!
If you’re in Omega Obsessions, have your tag active and use the bottom right vendor!

Not in ANY of these three groups? Why not? D:
Well.. it’s only 99L or a group slot! Your choice!

But be quick about it though, Dec 24th the discounts end. Unless I forget. I do that… and I do have a party to attend…

Oh, and don’t forget to check out all the other colors available, it’s starting to really flesh out!
(I got all the ones I forgot to list last time up now!)

Basic Trouble Shooting

Basic Trouble Shooting!

If you’re here, either you’re seeing this section embedded on an instructions page or you’ve been sent here because your Omega Isn’t working!

Things to Try when appliers aren’t working:

  1. Verify you’re on a sim that allows scripts. Easiest way: Toggle something on your Mesh HUD to see if it reacts.
  2. Attach the Relay or Installer that came with your Omega Kit.
    1. The Name of the Kit should match the Name of your Mesh. Ie, you should have a Maitreya Relay for Maitreya or a Logo Installer for Logo.
    2. If it’s an installer, click it and verify all your bits say “Thank you” in local chat. If it doesn’t say thank you, grab a redelivery of your mesh or open a new copy.
    3. If it’s a relay, keep it attached.
  3. Verify your mesh layers are turned ON. Mosts Body Meshes and some head meshes let you toggle your layers on and off. Sometimes, this will make it look like applier’s aren’t working. Take a moment to toggle them ALL off, and then back on.
  4. Check for Alpha-Glitch issues. Do this by turning all, or all but 1 of your body layers to Masking.
  5. Verify it’s not an applier issue. Take the applier to one of our inworld Mannequins and try it there. If it works, nothing is wrong with the applier. If it DOESN’T work, you may need to contact the applier creator.
  6. Verify you didn’t bork your Mesh. Many meshes now feature methods to remove their scripts. It helps with lag on RP sims. This does mean that occasionally a customer accidentally clicks on these buttons, ruining their ability to use appliers or their hud. To check, simply play with Mesh HUD to make sure the body is still reacting to it.  The easiest way is likely to play with the Alpha hud. If that works, you should be ok. If you DID bork your mesh, just grab a redelivery of your mesh or open a new copy.

If your issue is Omega Related:

  • First, try The Omega Solutions Support Group:  secondlife:///app/group/276e12ea-52c3-008f-d6c9-31fc8bd2ba73/about or Click Here
  • If you don’t find help there, contact our CSR: FreyasFashions Resident OR Fill out a Support Ticket

If your issue is NOT Omega Related, try the following:

  • Contact degra.dockal via Notecard:  secondlife:///app/agent/39ecc08b-6d6e-414a-9234-b802036a2d4d/about
  • Mesh Body Addicts Group: secondlife:///app/group/830963e4-91fe-da74-003e-a4390de9a5cc/about
  • The Omega Solutions Support Group:  secondlife:///app/group/276e12ea-52c3-008f-d6c9-31fc8bd2ba73/about

Remember when asking for help in ANY support group to be polite and specific with your query. For best results, do not open with “hi” or “can someone help me?” but instead open with an explanation of the problem.

Response rate varies based on who is online and what they know, so be patient. Sometimes you can get a delayed response, and sometimes there’s simply not someone online with an answer to your specific question. In this case, try one of the other support groups/options or come back later and try again when more or different people are around.

If you’re not sure if the problem is Omega, don’t stress, just try any of the above support options. If nothing else, they can help you sort out if it’s an Omega problem or something else.

Add-On: Omega Eye Wardrobe

Omega Eye Wardrobe

Features

  • Store Hundreds of Omega Eye appliers in one easy to use HUD
  • Organize them into up to 20 different sets you name yourself!
  • Flip through your eyes with easy to use navigation buttons.
  • Delete eyes you no longer desire
  • Built-in Resizer
  • Free Updates
  • Export feature for if/when we do updates. An easy to use menu option lets you quickly move all your eyes and sets to a new hud!
  • Compatible with all Omega Appliers
  • Responsible No-Mod Design with swirly overlays and Omega Watermark to protect Eye Creators.

Instructions

The HUD should be fairly self-explanatory. But just in case:

Storing Eyes

To add Eyes, simply use an Omega Eye applier while wearing the wardrobe. It will be saved to your current Set. Before you start adding eyes though, you may want to think about making some eye sets!

Making/Managing Eye Sets

Rather than keeping all your eyes in one giant pile, the HUD lets you create Sets to keep yourself Organized. You can manage your sets by accessing the HUD Menu by clicking the Omega Symbol in the Lower Left of the HUD. Among other things, you’ll see 1 or more of the following options (depending on the number of sets already created! For example, it will not give you the option to select or remove a set if you only have 1!)

  • New Set: Create a New Eye Set! (There is no “move” button, so make your sets first and then add eyes to them!)
  • Select:  Pick the Set to be Viewed. All added eyes will be added to this set!
  • Remove Set: Remove a Set you’ve created. WARNING! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR EYE DATA!
  • Export: In the event of a HUD Update, the export button will send all your eye and set data to the updated wardrobe!

Applying an Eye

To apply an eye you’ve added to the hud, simply click on the center menu to apply whatever is there. If what you want isn’t currently in the center window:

  1. Make sure you select the Set you stored it in.
  2. Use the Double Arrow Buttons to navigate to it.
  3. Once it’s in view, you can click on it to bring it to the main window or use the single arrow buttons to bring it to the center.

Other Menu Options

  • Refresh: Kicks the Listeners in the bum if they’ve gotten stuck!
  • Help: Brings you here!
  • Update: Checks for Updates
  • Resize: Change the Size of the HUD! Small, Medium or Large!

FAQ

Will it store Catwa Eyes?
Nope! Sorry!

Does this mean I can delete all my old Eye HUDS?!
If SL was a stable creature, I’d say yes. But given that any prim, anywhere can die and glitch out,  or worse… be eaten by your inventory! So no, I don’t recommend it.  If you want to use this to clean up your inventory, I suggest making yourself a Backup Box and tossing all your old eye appliers and maybe a backup of the HUD into it. 🙂
